Kathryn Tinker

Founder & Principal

Kathryn is a government affairs and sustainability strategist advising executive teams operating in complex regulatory and geopolitical environments across the Asia-Pacific region. She founded Tinker Strategies to modernize how corporations engage with government — moving toward disciplined, transparent, and data-informed corporate diplomacy.

Kathryn previously led APAC Government Affairs at AIG, leading regulatory and public policy engagement across 12 markets. She represented AIG in regional industry bodies including the US-ASEAN Business Council, the National Center for APEC, and AmCham Singapore, working closely with policymakers, regulators, and business leaders across the region.

Following her time at AIG, Kathryn advised clients through Mandala Partners in Sydney, supporting institutions navigating policy risk, stakeholder strategy, and cross-border regulatory alignment. Her experience spans financial regulation, technology policy, sustainability transitions, and geopolitical risk.

Kathryn’s advisory approach emphasizes clarity over volume, transparency as strategy, and executive-level alignment in environments where scrutiny is high and reputational stakes are enduring.

She is based in Sydney and works across the broader Asia-Pacific region.
